Who we are
Founded in 1957, the Pioneer Valley Aquarium Society (PVAS) is one of Massachusetts’ longest-standing and most passionate communities of aquarium enthusiasts. Based in the beautiful Pioneer Valley region, our mission is to promote the art, science, and enjoyment of aquarium keeping.
Whether you're just setting up your first tank or you're an experienced aquarist with decades of experience, PVAS offers a welcoming space to learn, share, and connect. Our monthly meetings feature expert speakers, hands-on demonstrations, and auctions, all aimed at supporting fellow aquarists and aquatic conservation.
We are proud to serve the Western Massachusetts aquarium community and beyond. Through education, camaraderie, and our shared love for aquatic life, PVAS continues to be a hub for inspiration, learning, and support.
Join us on the first Tuesday of the month September-June at our meeting hall in Chicopee (244 Fuller Rd, Chicopee, MA 01020) and dive into a deeper appreciation for the aquatic world!
