Massachusetts Aquarium Club Since 1957

Founded in 1957, the Pioneer Valley Aquarium Society (PVAS) is one of the oldest and most active Massachusetts aquarium clubs, bringing together aquarium hobbyists from Western Massachusetts and throughout New England. Our mission is to promote the art, science, and enjoyment of freshwater aquariums, tropical fish, aquatic plants, and responsible fish keeping through education, community, and conservation.

Whether you're setting up your very first aquarium or you're an experienced aquarist with decades in the hobby, PVAS provides a welcoming environment to learn, share ideas, and connect with fellow fish keepers. Our monthly meetings feature expert speakers, educational presentations, hands-on demonstrations, fish and aquarium auctions, raffles, and opportunities to discover new techniques, species, and products.

As a leading aquarium society in Massachusetts, we are dedicated to growing the aquarium hobby by supporting beginners and experienced hobbyists alike. Our members enjoy learning about tropical fish, aquascaping, breeding, planted aquariums, shrimp keeping, native species, and many other aspects of the aquatic hobby while building lasting friendships within the community.
